The AcercaRSE group closes another successful year of work
The Corporate Social Responsibility group carried out throughout this year a full schedule of activities focused mainly on sustainability and education.

The AcercaRSE group, which is made up of 18 different organizations with operations in Zárate, Campana and Lima, closed a successful year of working together for the sustainable development of the communities in the area.

With the support of strategic partners, the group has been carrying out activities since 2009 with the aim of building a space for community intervention aimed at generating value and installed capacity, promoting public-private articulation.

In this framework, during this year it has developed an agenda of activities where the continuity of the La Basura Serves Program stands out, started in 2012, the production and distribution of educational audiovisual material addressing different topics of great interest in the educational field, both primary and secondary level, and the realization of the Employability Meeting for Technical Schools in the region.

In the case of the La Basura Serves Program, twelve primary level educational establishments were reached this year. In each one, a circus play was developed whose theme was focused on the importance of caring for the environment, incorporating the concept of circular economy as a relevant theme. There were 4,700 boys who participated in this activity, which was also accompanied by a workshop on circular economy for sixth grade students, as well as a training day for teachers.

Regarding the production of educational audiovisual material, the problems addressed for the primary level were linked to digital violence, use of networks, nutrition and healthy living, empathy and values, and road safety. In the contents generated for the secondary level, the themes were toxic relationships, bullying, and prevention of addictions and alcohol consumption.

In this case, the material was made available to each of the primary and secondary schools in Campana, Zárate and Lima, which together have an estimated enrollment of more than 40,000 students.

With respect to the Employability Meeting for Technical Schools, the proposal sought to bring tools and experiences to young people who, close to graduating, seek to access the world of work. It was also within this framework that the actor Gastón Pauls gave an exciting talk on addiction prevention. More than 400 students from nine schools in Campana, Zárate, Lima and Exaltación de la Cruz participated in the event.

Leandro Simeone, Coordinator of the Group, highlighted the importance of joint work carried out through this space by the 18 organizations that make it up. It is a pioneering initiative that aims to generate synergy in pursuit of the growth of the communities in the region.

The organizations that are currently part of this initiative are Ameghino Servicios, Agrofina, Axion – Pan American Energy, Bayer, Cooperativa Eléctrica de Zárate, Holcim, Honda Motor de Argentina, Masterbus, Nucleoeléctrica Argentina S.A., Pampa Energía, Tenaris, Petromining, Softys; Toyota, Padilla, Zarcam, Cabot and CICACZ. → campananoticias.com.ar
