Below is the text released by the Los Grobo Group:
“Last May, the winning projects of the 2022 edition of “Campo Social” were announced, the Corporate Volunteering program that Grupo Los Grobo has been implementing for 15 years.
One of the winning projects was presented by volunteers from Los Grobo in Chivilcoy and has as its beneficiary the Merendero "Los Pekes", a well-known civil organization, which has been operating for more than 10 years on a property belonging to its organizer and reference, the Ms. Mariela Vargas and that receives about 125 children daily (from 3 to 15 years old) who come every afternoon to receive their snack.
Until now, the place lacked adequate facilities to provide assistance on those days when the weather was bad, since all activities were carried out outdoors, so on days of intense heat or wind and rain, operations had to be suspended. of the picnic area The main need was, then, to obtain financing for the construction of a quincho that provides shelter, shelter and shade, allowing the mitigation of climatic conditions.
Let us remember that "Social Field" is Grupo Los Grobo's Corporate Volunteering program from which the company intends to promote and accompany the solidarity actions of its collaborators, facilitating the realization of their ideas, for the benefit of the localities where they live and they work. Through it, the company makes an amount of money available, which this year was $600,000, so that it is the volunteers themselves who decide, through a project competition, which institutions in their community they decide to help.
Lucas Divito, Agustina Castellani, Silvana Cerella, Stella Cialdo, Claudia Eberle, Elizabeth Girotti and Agustina Battistin are the Volunteers who presented the winning project and work at Molino Canepa. They are related to the Merendero through participation in social activities, as well as collections and donations.
It is important to highlight here, that for the construction of the barbecue area, the contribution of Dr. Luis Fernando Antonelli, who has been actively collaborating with the Merendero for more than 5 years, was also added.
In this year's edition of the "Campo Social" program, there were also 4 other projects from the cities of Carlos Casares, San Miguel Del Monte, Jesus Maria and Lomas de Zamora. They will receive $120 thousand each destined to strengthen the work of the organizations with which they are already working or involved in some way”. → buenosairesinforma.com
